How to Check When a Cloudflare Domain Expires

If you register or transfer a domain to Cloudflare Registrar, here's how to check exactly when it expires — from the dashboard, or with a public lookup that works even without the login.

Method 1: In the Cloudflare dashboard

1. Sign in at dash.cloudflare.com and select the account the domain belongs to.
2. Open Domain Registration (in the sidebar) → Manage Domains, or select the specific domain and open its registration/overview details.
3. You'll see the domain's expiration / renewal date along with its auto-renewal status.

Note that Cloudflare only registers domains that are on Cloudflare Registrar — domains you've merely pointed at Cloudflare's DNS but registered elsewhere still expire at their real registrar, and you'd check them there instead.

Method 2: A public lookup (no login needed)

A domain's expiry date is public regardless of registrar, so you can check it without opening Cloudflare at all. How Cloudflare renewal works

Cloudflare Registrar has a couple of distinctive traits:

• At-cost pricing. Cloudflare sells and renews domains at wholesale — no markup — which is a big reason people transfer domains to it.
• Auto-renewal is the norm. Cloudflare is designed to renew automatically using the payment method on your account. As with any registrar, that means an expired or failed card is the thing to watch — if the charge can't clear, the domain still heads toward expiry.
• Notifications go to your Cloudflare account email. If it's unmonitored, a renewal problem can pass unseen.

Because Cloudflare aims everything at automation, it's easy to assume a domain there is permanently safe. It usually is — right up until a payment method silently fails.
