How to Check When a Hostinger Domain Expires

If your domain is registered with Hostinger, its expiration date lives in hPanel — and the auto-renew setting is in a slightly different place than you'd expect. Here's how to find both, plus a way to check the date without logging in.

Method 1: In hPanel

1. Sign in to hPanel and open the Domains section, then My domains.
2. The list shows each domain's name, status, expiration date, and auto-renewal status as columns — so the expiration date is visible right there.
3. To dig into a single domain, click the arrow (❯) next to it to open its management page; the Domain Overview section shows the expiration date — the date before which the domain must be renewed to stay active.

Method 2: A public lookup (no login needed)

The expiration date is public information, so you can check it without hPanel. How Hostinger auto-renewal behaves

Auto-renewal is enabled by default for domains bought at Hostinger — but there's a layout quirk that trips people up: while the auto-renew status is shown in the Domains list, the toggle to actually change it lives under Billing → Subscriptions. Find the domain in your active subscriptions there to turn auto-renewal on or off.

Two things worth knowing:

• Hostinger charges the saved payment method about 27 days before expiration. That means "I'll cancel before it expires" is misleading — to avoid a renewal charge you need to disable auto-renew at least 27 days before the expiry date, not the day before.
• Auto-renewal still depends on a valid payment method. As with any registrar, a declined or expired card means the renewal fails quietly, and the notice goes to your account email — easy to miss if that inbox is old or filtering promotional mail.

Don't rely on a single dashboard
